Doors of Malta

When I travel, especially to foreign countries, I just love to photograph doors.  In Malta, where all of the buildings are constructed of the same light tan limestone, the doors create a focus of interest for the home or business.  They can also express the owner’s personality.  I think I went a bit overboard this time, as there were so many beautiful and interesting doors to photograph.  Just call me “The Door Lady”!  Here is a sampling of what I photographed.

If you look carefully at the photo below, just above the right hand glass panel up in the dark space, there is an orb.

This last one is not a door but a balcony.  I couldn't resist!

  1. Beautiful and striking images. I am curious what the orb represents to you, Carla. I attended a funeral years ago, and there were two of those that showed up in pictures I took. Or in a picture. I seem to recall they showed up in more than one picture.

    1. Most orbs show up when using a flash, especially indoors. Unusual to have them show up outdoors. They could be dust particles, a photographic anomaly, or a spirit. In this case, there were no dust particles or issues with the camera. A spirit guarding the door perhaps?
