The Null Zone

Once again, I am finding myself in the void, or null zone.  It is a calm and floaty place to be.  I have finished my Controlled Remote Viewing training with Paul Smith, and will be taking a 3 day workshop in CRV with Angela Smith next weekend.  That should wrap things up for now.  After that, I will be joining a group that features Associative Remote Viewing.  That is a type of remote view that is used in prediction work, and is faster, easier, and less time consuming.  It is based more on one’s psychic abilities, so that should be fun and interesting.

I’ve also dropped out of the meditation group that I had been a part of since I moved to Cedar City.  I may rejoin in the future if they can get their act together!

This is a weird floaty place, almost in slow motion, but at the same time, somewhat comforting.  There is no need to effort or do anything, but just to wait and see what shows up.  Signs and information that have come to me in the past week indicate that if I make a choice to engage in something new, I must be very discerning as to if the new thing is to my benefit or not.  Always take a second look before deciding.  I will be trying out the ARV to see if it fits the bill for me.

In the mean time, we are finally starting to cool off here, and there has been some sporadic rain in the area.  I can’t believe that September is just a few days away!  The leaves will be turning soon.

Signals and Signs

Yesterday, I got a long overdue massage.  Deep tissue at 90 minutes.  I am quite sore in some places today, so I decided to try a new hiking trail that is not too strenuous.  I have hiked Navajo Lake a few times before from the east end of the lake, so today, I drove 5 extra miles to get to the trailhead at the west end.   The lake sits at about 9,000’ elevation, and is about 25 feet deep, but with the very dry and hot weather we have been having, the water level is quite low.  This has exposed a lot of shore line that would ordinarily be under water.

Shortly after getting on the trail, I saw that it split.  One path going close to the water, and the other heading higher up and in the woods.  I chose the one close to the water to start with.  What a delight!  It was so nice to walk along the shore.  It was breezy, and I could hear the water splashing all along the way.

Of course, I am always looking for any new plant that I can identify, and sure enough, there was one there that I had not seen before.  It was a field mint.

As I was standing up after taking a photo, a frog went hopping past my feet.  Wow!!!  I suppose that it is natural to see frogs near the water, but with our hot and dry climate this year, it was an unusual sight.

So this is where we get guidance that can be sent to us via the natural kingdom.  If you see an animal that is unusual in that place, or that you have never seen before, or is doing something out of the ordinary, it is giving you a sign.  Pay attention.  It is not a coincidence.  Your Higher Self knows that that critter will be at that place and time, and somehow engineers your presence to be there, too.  I would like to recommend 2 books by Ted Andrews.  Animal Speak, and Animal Wise.  Between these 2 books, just about every mammal, bird, reptile, insect, etc, are listed, so that you can find out what message is being imparted to you.

So frog was telling me that this is a time of new beginnings, new endeavors, and a time of transformation.  Cool!  I was also being advised to give new offers a second look, and be wary of engaging with other people or groups that are not of my best interest.  OK.  Message noted.

A short time later, I bushwhacked up the hill to get onto the trail that was in the woods, as it was shadier there.  Next thing I knew, an immature bald eagle flew overhead.  This is a very powerful totem.  The meaning was the illumination of spirit, healing, and creation, bringing in new creative forces and acceleration.  Very good.

Now this next incident was quite an interesting and even bizarre surprise, and something that had never ever happened to me before.  I was on a trail that a lot of bicyclists use.  Coming towards me was a guy on a bike.  And get this, no lie.  He was wearing a red t-shirt with “FOX” printed on the front in big black letters.   I was so taken a back, and he whizzed by so fast, that I didn’t stop him to have a conversation.  I am assuming that fox was not the animal, but the name.  A further emphasis that I was to really pay attention to the previous signs from frog and eagle.

I proceeded along the trail to a point where I could go back down the slope to the shore of the lake, and happened on this magical little island along the shore that had been exposed because of the low water level.  The mint plant that I had discovered earlier was here in profusion.

A bit further down the shore was a lovely rock outcropping where I sat and enjoyed the water and the breeze.

So I am home now mulling over those messages.  An additional one came to me a few days ago.  The meditation group that I had joined will be meeting on Sunday, sans moi, to work out a solution for the group.  This issue has been on my mind this week, and I finally decided to consult my Inner Child about it.  She was wagging her finger at me, and was making tisk tisk sounds.  She said, “Leave those people alone.”  I took that to mean that what they were doing was none of my business, and I should forget about it.  I did, and we are much happier now.

I often get questions from people on how to communicate with their Higher Selves.  This is done through signs, symbols and synchronicities, not through verbal conversation.  It is quite like dreamtime work.  That is why it pays to pay attention to the subtleties that life sends your way, because they can be messages from your HS.

On the other hand, you can have a verbal back and forth conversation with your Inner Child.  This aspect of yourself represents your very best inner friend, one who will steer you straight, and give good advice.  I have instructions on how to do this in my book, and also in one of the Rise Multiversity workshops.

Catching Up

It’s been several weeks since I last posted, and I apologize for that.  Life here has been on the crazy side, and things are now starting to settle down to where I can get to some projects that have been waiting.  Like this morning for example.  I have plantation shutters on my windows, and finally, I was able to get them all dusted.  It has been very dry here, and spring and early summer were pretty windy.  That fine sandy dust in the air has a way of getting in through any small opening around the windows.

The weekend before last, I was invited to attend a special ceremony here in Cedar City.  This ceremony lasted for 2 ½ days and 2 nights, during which I stayed at the house of the person hosting the ceremony.  I can’t give details here, as requested by the host, but those of you who have participated in this sort of thing will know exactly what I am talking about.  The ceremony itself went just fine, but there were many issues with the venue and the people involved.  By Sunday afternoon, I had a big headache, was very dehydrated, and had a good case of indigestion that lasted for several days afterwards. All better now.  Enough said.

As some of you have read, I have been participating in a Sunday meditation group since I moved here last November.  We lost our regular space because of the corona virus, and were meeting outside until it got too hot to do so.  I then had the group here at my house for several Sundays to give the group leader a break, and because I have air conditioning.  At times, the woman leading the group has forgotten to send out notifications of any change in the schedule, so meetings have been somewhat sporadic.  This started happening again the Sunday after our big Skull Journey, and now she has stopped communicating with the other group members altogether.  She even removed our free listing in the community calendar.  So what is up with that?

In the mean time, another attendee is making a power grab to be the new leader, even though she does not know how to lead a meditation.  Things have been quite confusing, and the energy is all over the place.  There is a meeting called for Sunday, which I will not be attending.  I need clarity around why the original facilitator just “went away”, and then perhaps I will rejoin the group, depending on what they want to do.  The meditations have always been a bit marginal, but it was nice to get together with others and surf the energy!

On a positive note, I just finished my last homework assignment for Paul Smith’s Intermediate CRV course, and as soon as he grades it, I will be officially graduated.  Yeah!  Because of his slow pace in grading the 10 assignments, this has taken almost 8 months to complete.  Way too long.  I have found the work to be tedious at times, requiring too much detail for my taste.  I am more of a big concept person.  So I will be moving on to another type of remote viewing that moves along much faster.  I want the process to be fun and enjoyable.

The hiking has still been great, with easy access to the higher elevations where it is cooler than near Cedar City.  We have had a record breaking heat wave for weeks in the southwest US, and I am so grateful for my air conditioning.   I am thinking about getting up really early tomorrow so that I can get onto a local trail before 7 AM to beat the heat.  Fun!

PS--The photo above is of a baby yellow-bellied marmot up at Cedar Breaks National Monument.

Skull Altar

Last week, I posted about the crystal skull meditation I hosted at my house on Sunday afternoon.  As I write this, it is the next Saturday afternoon, and our group is meeting here tomorrow around 4 PM Mountain time.  The skull altar has been in place all week, and as you can see, I have added another quartz skull to the center of the arrangement.  This seems to be amplifying the whole set up, as I have had a hard time even approaching it because of the energy it is giving off.

I knew that the group journey/meditation last week was powerful, as the participants were pretty wigged out by the time we were finished.  I was even kind of spacey the next day, and had trouble recalling some of the details to write in the previous post.  Last night, I had a conversation with one of the people who was here.  She reported that on Monday morning when she woke up, she discovered that her phone was in bed with her, which was not how she usually went to bed.  Apparently, she had made several phone calls that way the night of the meditation, and then fell asleep.  She did not even realize that she had made those calls until several of the people that she spoke to reminded her of it later.  They thought that she was acting weird, and called back to check on her!

So, all of you are invited to tune into Sunday’s meditation.  Your focus should be on the crystal skull altar above, shortly after 4 PM Mountain time.  We generally chat a bit, and are done by about 5:15.  Even if you miss this post and want to tune in later, you can intend that you were with us at that time.  After all, we have aspects that are outside of time and space that can do that.  The altar will be dismantled probably some time on Monday, as I’d like to leave it in place overnight.

I do not know what the theme of the meditation will be, as I like to let that come to me spontaneously right before we meet.  Whatever it is, it will be amplified by the power that is still being generated by the altar.  If you participate and have any interesting experiences, feel free to leave a comment on this post.
