Equinox

We are closing in fast on the Equinox for Monday September 22nd.  It is Autumnal for the northern hemisphere and Vernal for the southern hemisphere.  It makes no difference, as the energy is the same all over the planet on those days!

I have been checking the weather to see if I can go out to the Parowan Gap to photograph the sunset some time over the weekend.  We are having some rainy and cloudy days here, so I will wait until Monday night when the weather clears up.  If I am successful, I will post photos of the event.  In the mean time, my bowl burning can take place rain or shine.

You can do a bowl burning or any kind of ceremony over the weekend leading up to the actual date of the Equinox.  The Equinox is all about balance and harmony, so if you are out of balance or in a disharmonious state, this would be a great time to set your intent in any way if you would like to come back to a place of equanimity.  Certainly the world needs more souls who are grounded and settled in their bodies right now!

If all goes well, I will post some photos in a few days.  Happy Equinox to all!  In the mean time, please enjoy my photo of Cedar Breaks at sunset taken a week ago.
