Goblin Valley State Park

This was a short stop the next day, partly because we were short on time, but also because the wind had picked up quite a bit, and it was impossible to hike around the rock formations without being sand blasted!  We had a picnic lunch at the observation area above this Mars like landscape.

We stayed that night at the Bullfrog Marina on Lake Powell.

What a contrast the red rocks made with the bright blue water!  It was nice being near the water for just one night before heading back out into the desert.
