August Launch

Earlier today, our group met online for our latest launching.  We had a full house today with 5 people participating.  The discussion and sharing before and after each person launches is always so very helpful to everyone.  I don't think that any of us have people in our social circles that we can dialog with in the way that we do here.

As always, before one launches, an intent must be set.  For me, I have been thinking that I should get back to some sort of meditation practice, so my intent was to be shown a location on the inner planes where I can project my consciousness during meditation.

As soon as I launched out of my body, I found myself flying over what looked like a small moon of a planet.  Everything was white, and looked like ice.  I drifted over to a very large ice cave, and thought that this was the location that I was looking for.  Not so.  I checked it out and moved on.

I ended up in a very nice and tranquil location and hovered there for a while.  I was looking at my body floating there when suddenly I started traveling into my head.  Boom!  The next thing I knew, I was scooting along on a double helix strand of my DNA!

I was in between the 2 strands and saw that there were very minute explosions happening sporadically on each strand as I went by.  My sense was that these were the existing distortions and mutations that were transforming.  Then, there were small globes of light in various places on the DNA.

As I went along, these globes became larger and larger until finally, both strands merged into one and I entered a much larger globe of light.  The DNA had transmuted from a 4 D polarity form into a 5 D unified form.

Several years ago I had written in this blog about how our 2 strand DNA would transform into a unified body of light in a higher dimensional form.  This is how we will recover our innate abilities that were lost quite a long time ago.  Specifically, I have always been interested in how our ancient ancestors were able to lighten up a multi ton stone, levitate it, carve it, and move it into place as was done with the Great Pyramid.  We were able to manifest our own food, or perhaps we didn’t need food at all.

So this unified DNA is where I will go for my meditations.  That feels very good!  I also mentioned to the group that one can travel out into outer space, or inwards into inner space.  Either way will get you where you need to go.

Switching Gears

Today I am breathing a sigh of relief and feeling a new freedom, because a number of activities that I have been engaged in this summer so far have come to an end.  Interesting that I am usually busy, but now I can feel a definite difference in my vibration.  I feel lighter!

Yesterday was the last Associate Remote Viewing target that I completed for a research project that I was involved in for 3 months.  A group of 10 people worked 13 targets, and the goal was to see if ARV was successful in predicting the outcomes of horse races.  Lots of fun!  Last night was also the final class in my 5 week locally taught series entitled “Exploring Consciousness and Spirituality”.  It was so much fun getting back into teaching again.  Several of the students also expressed an interest in getting together for a live launching in the future.  That would be really great!  I already have my online group, so that would mean I would be launching twice a month.

This morning I hiked the high elevation trail where I had been finding all of the mushrooms this past month.  There were few to harvest today, so the mushroom season is finished, too.  I can’t imagine that I missed them last year.  Either there weren’t any, as mushrooms tend to come and go depending on a lot of factors, or I just wasn’t on that trail last July and August.  I have dried a lot of the shrooms, and I will have fond memories of "hunting" them when I eat them.

To top it all off, yesterday morning my dear friend Greta left to drive back to Phoenix after staying with me for 4 days.   I have had other visitors here, but she is the first one to actually stay in my house.  I met Greta in 2000 at our shamanic training with the Four Winds Society.  We were paired up at random as roommates, and have been good friends ever since.

We spent her time here hiking in the high elevations and at Cedar Breaks, going out to the Parowan Gap to look at the rock art, and attending the Utah Shakespeare Festival.   Very busy and lots of fun.  The photo at the top of this post is of the Parry’s gentian that we saw on the Aspen Pond Trail at Cedar Breaks.  It is quite common in the mountains of Colorado, but extremely rare in Utah.  What a way for Greta to top off her visit here!

So now I feel like an empty nester.  Projects finished and my visitor gone.  Time to take a big long nap!

Saturday Part 2

Later that evening, the Lantern Festival was happening just down the street from my house.  Pure magic!  As with the Powwow earlier in the day, this event did not happen last year because of the pandemic.  The last time these two events took place was 2 years ago before I arrived in Cedar City.  It was nice to experience something new!

The Lantern Festival took place at a small man made lake next to the Cedar City Aquatic Center.  This lake has a nice sandy beach on one end, and is used by the residents for swimming, fishing, paddle boarding and kayaking.  In the winter, it is a great place for duck watching.  Last night, on offer was a Disney movie on a big outdoor screen in the parking lot, and lots of snacks for sale.  In addition, everyone received a lantern upon entering at the gate.  One could do one or the other, or both.  Needless to say, the place was packed full of families with their children.

I chose to do only the lantern activity.  The weather was perfect, and the lantern launching was magical.  As I stood on the beach watching the multitudes of lanterns float away, I felt that I was a part of each participating person’s “light”!  We were all facing the setting sun, which made it even more special.

By the time the lanterns were finished, the movie was still going on.  I walked home in the dark, which was magical in itself!  Here are some photos.

Saturday Part 1

Yesterday, Saturday, was a great day here.  Several activities were happening around the area, and I actually had to miss a nice hike with the Rusty Iron Trekkers because of a conflict.  I am going to split this post into 2 days because of all of the photos that I would like to show.

Around noon, I drove over to the Paiute Reservation for the Paiute Restoration Gathering Powwow.  This annual event celebrates the federal restoration of the tribe’s recognition.  There are 5 different Paiute groups in Utah, and our local one is the Cedar Band.  This Powwow was an all nations, and I do not know how many tribes participated besides the various Paiutes, but for sure there were also Navajo and Shoshone.   Some came from as far away as Idaho.  There were softball and handball tournaments, food, and venders.   Of course, I perused what the venders had to offer, but my main interest was the dancers and their regalia.  Leather, beadwork, feathers, and bright colors.

At 1 PM, there was a grand entrance into the outdoor arena.  Then the various age groups and different dancing styles were showcased one by one.  It was pretty hot, in the low 90’s, so they kept the showcases short. The main dance event would take place that evening with the announcing of the winners.  The categories went from Tiny Tots to Seniors.  Some of those little kids could really dance, and it was also nice to see the seniors who had probably been doing this for many years.  I admired and respected the continuation of the traditions that the US government had tried to squelch for many years in the past.

There were also drumming/singing  groups from at least 5 tribes that accompanied the dancers.  The beat of the drums is designed to put the dancers (and the audience) into an altered state of consciousness so that the dances become an ecstatic process.

Below are photos and a few videos from the Powwow.

Decompressing

It has been a very busy several weeks for me here.  I have taken on an additional Remote Viewing project, which has been challenging at times, as I am still working out the bugs in my process.  The Utah Shakespeare Festival is in full swing and I have gone to 3 plays.  Very nice!

For those of you who have been long time readers of this blog, you may recall that I am passionate about foraging for mushrooms this time of year.  Last year, I wasn’t really looking for any, as a local friend of mine said that there were none here up in the mountains.  Even the last few years in Colorado, the pickings were slim to none.  Imagine my surprise when I found King Boletes starting to pop up along a trail that I hike several times during the summer.  The trailhead is at about the 11,000’ level up near Brian Head Mountain.  Perfect for those mushrooms.

I made 3 trips, hauling back several heavy and loaded bags each time.  Once I got them home, I spent the rest of the day processing the mushrooms, either dehydrating or sautéing and freezing them.  I know there are more of them up there, but I am mushroomed out at this point!

I had a free day today, and decided to take a road trip.  This is something I occasionally do to get away from the business and obligations at home.  Early this morning, I drove up the highway to Beaver, and then east into the Tushar Mountains.  This is the third highest range in Utah.  I had been up there once last summer on a different trail, but today my destination was the Big John Flat Campground area.

The drive was magical.  Because of the recent monsoon rains, everything was green, not only in the mountains, but most of the way on the 1.5 hour drive.  I figured I would get to the campground and then find a map of hiking trails.  Unfortunately, the vast majority of the trails, and there are many, are for off road vehicles.  So I drove up the road a bit and luckily happened upon a trail just for hikers, the Skyline Trail.  After I got out of my car at the trailhead, a couple drove up, and I was able to ask them about the trail.  One direction went up slope with big vistas, and the other went down into a canyon.  Of course, I chose the big vistas!

The trail started at 10, 600’ and I hiked up to at least 11,000’ before turning back.  The trail was fairly steep.  It really reminded me of the summer hiking I used to do back in Colorado.  What a way to decompress!  Fresh piney smelling air and beautiful surroundings.   I sat on a rock a bit before turning back.  Here are a few photos.

On the way back down from where I parked my car, I stopped to take a few photos of the fields of seasonal asters in bloom.  Gorgeous.

Several hours later, I arrived home relaxed and refreshed.  Ready to take on my next task! I highly recommend to all of you that if you are finding yourself too busy and need some down time, take a day off and go out into nature.  It will work wonders for your spirit and psyche.
